Atomic Solar was founded by Shaun Foster, a dedicated entrepreneur with a passion for renewable energy. Operating from a family farm near Puxico, Missouri, the journey began in 2012 when Shaun, inspired by a growing interest in solar power, installed his first system at his parents’ home. With no formal training, he learned the craft through a combination of electrical knowledge, extensive self-study, and hands-on experience. In pursuit of further education, he attended Texas State Technical Career Center in Sweetwater, Texas, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal. After graduation, despite a lack of solar job opportunities, he worked in maintenance before making his big break in 2016. Armed with determination and persistence, he successfully secured a position with a solar company, taking on full responsibility for installations. To get his crew to job sites, he traded his old Toyota truck for an old church bus, symbolizing the humble beginnings of the business. Over the years, Atomic Solar has grown steadily, completing more than 250 flawless installations. Committed to quality, they ensure that every project is completed with precision and care, avoiding shortcuts that lead to poor outcomes. Today, Atomic Solar operates with a reliable team, modern equipment, and a fully equipped shop, all while maintaining the founder’s hands-on approach.
